Drawing lab fun

Today we had the opportunity to model for each other in drawing lab, which was a pretty entertaining and a awesome change for once. Usually we're either drawing a still life (booooring) or a model- but since we missed out model on snow day we decided to make up for it today. It was a super challenge to capture the likenesses in so many different classmates/models but a fun challenge nonetheless. Here's two of my drawings haha

LOL introducing Shianne- totally doesn't look like her but we thought it was amusing how i always make my drawings into some kinda asian haha

This was fun- drawing our prof, Chris Kuzma for 30 minutes!

Also, my first assignment from drawing and painting is on display on 6th floor! find meee!

I still don't get why he's called the Teflon Don~ apparently nothing sticks to him? what if we dipped him in honey- would anything stick to him then? Sticky Don?

Anyways, here is a portrait assignment done in Illustrator and photoshop!! During this project I've learned that Rick Ross was an Ex-Cop! hahahahha I can see him eating a donut.

I finished this a few days ago, but I'm still stuck on the colours : ( textures are a beautiful thing! it's a gift and a curse because now I've got too many variations heh

Whatchu think homie? top or bottommmm?

Also, special love goes out to Myra Phan for giving me a shout on her art and design blog, The Lemon Pencil! check it out : )

A chemical turn off

10.2x13.2 pyrography on wood with acrylic gauche

Woo! first assignment for Illustration 4- core class with Jacqui Oakley.

This is an editorial assignment we were given to to create an illustration based on an article in the new york times about chemical tears, and- in a nutshell- how it chemically sends signals to the opposite sex and essentially creates sexually dampening..more or less causing the man to lose sexual interest.

I must say, this is the first time a project actually went smoothly for me with no frustrations and very few problems.. i'm also quite happy how the wood burning turned out! usually I mess up somewhere : (

Whatchu think homie?
